Label Design for Buck Rub CBD

June 2020 - August 2020

I designed the product labels for my uncle's start-up company, Buck Rub CBD. This project was my first introduction into Adobe Illustrator, as I had to vectorize the labels for printing. This experience was a great way to touch up on my Photoshop skills while learning Illustrator, and I am very happy with the way the labels turned out!

Additionally, I designed the product labels and website for my uncle's other CBD company, Flower Tower CBD. Check out the finished website! flowertowercbd.com. I also designed a hat on Illustrator for people to rep our brand in style!

UX/UI Design - Interactive Media Course

January 2020 - May 2020

Local App Design

Our first project of the semester was to create an app for a local brewery, Liquid State Brewing Company. The app was supposed to convey the rustic nature of the company's website, liquidstatebeer.com, while providing a way for customers to place a pickup order on the app that verifies that they are over 21. Below are the artboards for my group's app, created in Photoshop.

Mobile Interface Design

Our big project of the semester was to create our very own original app using Photoshop and Adobe XD. Because we started this project at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, my group decided to use the loneliness that we were feeling during quarantine as our inspiration. We came up with the app, My Corona, an app designed help users combat boredom and loneliness by assigning each user a "daily challenge", which could range from cooking a specific dish to painting a self-portrait, to doing yoga. The daily challenges were designed to inspire users to pick up a new hobby and do something fun indoors to encourage social distancing. Each user has a profile where they can upload images of their completed daily challenges, and you can connect with others to view the challenges they have completed. There is also the option to message other users and make new friends online. People can send users messages, and users have the option to either "social distance" - reject the message- or "quarantine together" - accept the message. We hoped that this app would provide some fun and light-heartedness to an otherwise scary and dismal time by providing them with activity ideas and a social outlet that doesn't involve physical gatherings.

Etsy - The Design Table

September 2020 - December 2020

Throughout the course of first semester junior year, I worked on a group project where we made an Etsy store selling social media banners for small businesses. We made four themed packages with templates for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Through this project, we learned more about social media marketing and search engine optimization. We used Photoshop to create the banners. Additionally, we learned about managing projects using the Agile framework.
