I am responsible for designing, developing and enhancing backend features for our loyalty clients using Spring framework and Groovy. I have gained experience in developing and testing RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration and efficient data exchange with our front-end. I have worked closely with our clients to understand requirements, gather feedback, and deliver solutions tailored to their specific loyalty needs.
I interned with Code Platoon, a nonprofit coding bootcamp for veterans, as a teaching assistant for their 3.5 month full-stack software engineering program. I was responsible for assisting students with their coding assignments, as well as attending the bootcamp daily, where I learned many important skills. We worked on coding full-stack applications using Python, JavaScript, React.Js, and PostreSQL. This was a great opportunity to continue my computer science education while assisting others.
I interned with Merkle as an email development intern, where I learned how to work in a development team to build marketing emails using HTML, CSS, Amscript and JavaScript. My primary responsibilities included consulting on, coding, and testing the HTML email messages and related content for clients. As a summer intern, I also got to participate in various skills and professional development workshops, such as Powerpoint, public speaking, and Excel training.
I was responsible for designing the product labels, packaging, and merchandise for my uncle's start-up company using Photoshop and Illustrator. I additionally designed the website on Square, which can be found at flowertowercbd.com
I was responsible for assisting customers with finding the right hair care and beauty products for them. I advised customers on how to use our hair dye and which products will work best for their hair type. I was responsible for answering customer questions, pitching the Sally Credit Card, and working the cash register.
